Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao 's Stree 2 has already become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan by earning ₹582.6 crore in six weeks. Despite its massive success, the film hasn't slowed down at the box office, as audiences continue to flock to theaters in large numbers.
This is evident from the impressive numbers the film is pulling, despite the major release of Jr NTR's Devara , which crossed the ₹100 crore mark in just two days. Stree 2 saw a dip on its seventh Friday, earning only ₹90 lakh, marking the first time the film's collection dropped below ₹1 crore since its release on August 15. However, Saturday saw a significant jump, with the film collecting ₹2 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk—an over 100% increase.
The film's total collection now stands at ₹585.50 crore. It will be interesting to see how the film performs on Sunday, as Devara aims to recover the ground it lost on Saturday when its collection dropped from ₹82.
5 crore on day 1 to just ₹40 crore on day 2. Stree 2's theatrical run is expected to continue until mid-October, before the release of two big Hindi films. Alia Bhatt ’s Jigra and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video are set to release on October 11, while Rajinikanth ’s Vettaiyan will hit theaters on October 10.
Stree 2 is a key part of Dinesh Vijan's expanding horror-comedy universe, which already features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon from Bhe.
