Stree 2 saw huge jump coming on Saturday as collections moved all the way up to Rs. 33.80 crores.
That’s a superb number by all means since films are struggling to collect as much in their entire opening weekend in 2024 and here a horror comedy comes and brings in this much on its second Saturday. There has been widespread acceptance of the film and that’s reflecting in consistently heavy footfalls that are coming in on a daily basis. In fact, the only drop, if one can call it that way, came on Wednesday when the holiday period almost came to an end.
However, it stabilised on Thursday, then a bit on Friday and has now totally hit the roof on Saturday. As a matter of fact, today too the collections will be exemplary since it’s partial holiday of Janmashtami tomorrow, which means a record second weekend is on the cards. It will be certainly be amongst the Top-5 ever and that’s where the film has been competing with ever since release.
It would be interesting to see where does it land up when up when compared to Pathaan , Gadar 2 , Jawan and Animal before it steps into the weekdays again. So far, the film has already collected Rs. 360.
90 crores and while it will see a good jump all over again today, by tomorrow morning it will comfortably enter the Rs. 400 Crores Club. It’s remarkable to see how the film has managed to do that with effortless ease and if the pace stays the same way in the weekdays to follow as well, then the journey towards 500 Crores Club would be super smooth as well.
