Filmmaker Rohit Shetty recently expressed his concerns about the insecurity prevalent among the younger generation of Bollywood actors. Speaking in an interview with Mukesh Chhabra for Mashable India, Shetty criticised the actors’ over-reliance on social media and their obsession with paid followers and articles. “The new stars are insecure people.
They are too much into social media, which is not the real world. Buying followers or having paid articles won’t help after two years. Ultimately, you will have to prove yourself on the big screen and not the mobile screen,” Shetty remarked as he spoke about the importance of real-world experience over virtual validation.
Learning from Salman Khan’s Career Resilience Shetty highlighted Salman Khan’s career as an example of resilience and adaptability. Reflecting on a challenging phase in Khan’s career, Shetty shared, “When Salman Khan’s movies were not working, he did Jeet with Sunny Deol. He just did it as an anchor and saw it as an opportunity to move forward in his career.
This quality in stars is now fading.” Following Jeet 's success, Salman Khan bounced back with hits like Judwaa and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya , cementing his position as one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Amitabh Bachchan’s Enduring Legacy The filmmaker also praised Amitabh Bachchan’s illustrious career spanning over five decades.
“Do you remember how many flops Amitabh Bachchan has given in his career? We just remember him as the bra.
