Owners Tanesha and Wade Hall opened their restaurant, LeaIV’s Cafe, at the beginning of the summer because they love to cook and realized, as Stonewall residents, that there are very few food options in town.
Tanesha said it started at her business, Inner Quality Services, in Stonewall when she and Wade started selling plates out of the building. It became a big enough hit that they decided to move to their current site at 671 U.S.
Hwy. 171 Suite M when it became available. The name LeaIV’s is a tribute to the Halls’ children, combining their names.
“I want my legacy to continue, and I want my children to be centered in it,” Tanesha said. Their son, Wade Hall IV, even jokes that he’s the owner. The dishes offered at the cafe are the Halls’ home-cooked recipes based on what the family would typically have.
LeaIV’s has a rotating menu based on the day, and the kitchen staff cooks based on Tanesha’s recipes. Interior of LeaIV's Cafe. In the summertime, Wade grows their ingredients, like tomatoes and greens, Tanesha said.
Even other ingredients like sweet potatoes and mustard greens are picked daily to have fresh ingredients and not rely on canned goods. According to Tanesha, the response has been amazing, and their clientele has reached past Stonewal.
