STING has given a health update after he had to cancel four gigs, leaving his fans gutted. The Message In A Bottle singer, 73, yesterday was forced to pull out of several upcoming shows after it was revealed he had fallen ill. Fans were left distraught when the legendary rocker revealed he was too unwell to perform at his planned dates.

But Sting has now revealed that he is "improving" after suffering from a throat infection. Taking to Instagram, the Police star explained what had happened to fans. "Thanks so much for all of the well wishes," he wrote.



"I am steadily improving from a temporary throat infection which has prevented me from singing, though I’m looking forward to resuming my performances and rescheduled shows soon. Love, Sting."
