Stephen Curry will be one of Team USA's star competitors at the Paris Olympics, but before he set off he enjoyed some time in London. The Golden State Warriors star was spotted in England's capital visiting the sites, shopping and playing a bit of golf. Curry will be part of the American team looking to make it five gold medals in a row in the men's basketball.

He hasn't competed at the Olympics in his career, so this is a chance to add a gold medal to his extremely impressive trophy haul. There is undoubtedly a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at his Instagram . This is because the point guard has been enjoying some time in London.

Basketball at the Olympics isn't due to start until Saturday, July 27, so Curry has plenty of time to get himself over to France. He and the rest of Team USA have been in London for some warm-up games ahead of the Olympics getting going. They faced South Sudan and Germany at the 02 Arena, and although they won both, the USA were far from convincing.

However, that doesn't appear to have worried Curry too much, and in his time off, he went to the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye. He was asked about his time in London by reporters ahead of the Games starting, and said: "Being a tourist is fun. "Being able to see different cultures, the history of this beautiful city, London.

Amazing to be able to see the world while playing basketball for your country." Incredibly, despite being one of the biggest sports stars in the world, he managed to avoid being recognised and even found some time to buy some trainers. However, he did also surprise a fan in the official NBA Store.

Curry was wearing a bucket hat and dark sunglasses and spotted a woman looking at one his jerseys. He then approached her, and she recognised him and bought the kit. Curry signed the jersey for her and took a quick picture, no doubt making her day.

The American basketball star also found a bit of time for a round of golf, so he will be more than relaxed heading to Paris. The USA basketball side get their Olympic campaign underway against Serbia in Lille on Sunday, July 28, and Curry will no doubt have his eyes fixed on that gold medal. talkSPORT will be be bringing you live coverage of the Paris Olympics this summer.
