Friday, November 29, 2024 Yecheng Mildai General Airport, a new milestone in Xinjiang’s aviation landscape, officially opened on November 28, 2024. The airport, located in Rock Township of Yecheng County, Kashgar, marks a significant step for Xinjiang Airport Group. It is the first general aviation airport in the region to combine both construction and operational management.
As a Class A general aviation airport, this facility enhances transportation infrastructure in Xinjiang. The smooth opening of the airport would not have been possible without the diligent work of the State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company, which played a key role in ensuring the airport’s power infrastructure was both stable and reliable from the outset. State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company’s Role in the Airport’s Development The development of Yecheng Mildai General Airport began in April 2022, and from the very start, State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company was actively involved.
Recognizing the critical need for a reliable power supply, the company carried out a thorough assessment of the airport’s power needs and designed tailored solutions for the facility. A focus on the power demand during construction was a priority, ensuring the stability and reliability of the airport’s power supply throughout the building process. In December 2023, the State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company completed the power supporting project for the airport, which included the construction of 20 new power.
