ST THOMAS, Jamaica— The St Thomas Curry Fest made a vibrant return to the entertainment scene last month at Yallahs Primary School, attracting thousands of attendees. The event offered families a day packed with games, rides, music, and an impressive variety of curry dishes. Patrons were treated to various curried dishes, from chicken, duck, rabbit, and goat to more exotic options like shrimp and lobster.
There were also snacks and beverages appealing to children. “It was a memorable experience, and we accomplished our goal of hosting the perfect family outing filled with fun, food, and entertainment! Every moment was a celebration together, creating beautiful memories that we will cherish forever,” Wanda Oh Canada, one of the event’s promoters, told Observer Online. “Throughout the day, our event was nothing short of magical.
We had a magician, a mesmerising fire dancer, and the hilarious ‘Granny’ entertaining everyone. Kids met animated characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Spiderman. In the evening, we turned up the excitement with a stage show featuring dancing sensation Kaka Highflames, The Double Scoop Twins, and dancehall star Vershon,” he added.
The co-organiser also shared his personal highlight of the event. “Seeing the interaction between the children and the acts was truly the highlight of the event for me. Their happiness fulfilled me, especially with the hilarious Granny who captivated everyone’s attention and left us wanting more,” h.
