TORONTO — Nine travel advisors from Maritime Travel enjoyed a firsthand experience of St. Maarten thanks to a recent fam hosted by the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, in partnership with Air Canada Vacations.

Flights were with Air Canada, which offers enhanced seasonal service to Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). Two resorts hosted the group: Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa and Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. Trip highlights included a half-day culinary cruise with Pyratz Gourmet Sailing and ziplining with Rainforest Adventures.



The group was also a variety of local culinary delights at a number of island restaurants, many taking part in St. Maarten’s annual Flavours Festival, running all month long. “We were delighted to host Maritime Travel agents from many of Canada’s provinces, as they are important traveller markets for us,” said May-Ling Chun, Director of Tourism at the St.

Maarten Tourism Bureau. “The trip gave them an authentic taste of St. Maarten – from our renowned resorts and activities to our vibrant food scene.
