Sculpting, basketball and line dancing are some of the programs the City of St. Catharines has on tap this fall. The city’s fall program registration begins next week.

Residents of St. Catharines can book programs online at stcatharines.ca/ActiveSTC starting at 6 p.



m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, and can sign up in person at St.

Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre starting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug.

28. People from out of town can start registering online at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 29, and in person at 8:30 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 30. The city said it has a wide variety of programming for individuals of all ages, with sports, crafts, hobbies and fitness offerings.

That includes DanceFit for adults, outdoor nature mindfulness for youths and Mandarin classes for all ages. When it comes to swimming, the city has lessons for all ages, leisure swims, lengths and aquatic fitness classes at St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre.

Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre for the fall. Those include community walks on Saturdays in October and November, as well as a two-day family history workshop on Nov. 16 and 23.

The museum is also hosting a lecture series to mark the 200th anniversary of the Welland Canal. The Welland Canal Bicentennial Lecture Series will be presented on various dates in partnership with Thorold Museum, Welland Museum and Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum.
