Pune: The results of the Secondary School Certificate ( SSC ) and Higher Secondary Certificate ( HSC ) supplementary examinations were released by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Friday. The SSC supplementary exam saw a pass percentage of 36.78, a significant improvement from the previous two years.

In contrast, the HSC supplementary exam recorded a slight increase in pass percentage to 32.46. Altogether 32,386 students from nine divisional boards across the state registered for the SSC supplementary examination, with 31,270 appearing and 11,502 students passing successfully.



The HSC supplementary examination saw registration of 60,160 students from science, arts, commerce, and HSC vocational branches of nine divisional boards. Among the 59,200 students who appeared, 19,217 students passed, resulting in pass percentage of 32.46.

“The supplementary examinations give a second chance to students who could not clear the main exams held in February-March this year and wanted to improve their marks,” said Sharad Gosavi, the board chairman. In the SSC examination, Nashik emerged the top-performing divisional board with a pass percentage of 52.06, closely followed by Latur at 50.

Pune division performed poorly, with a pass percentage of 28.60. In the HSC examination, students from the science stream achieved highest success rate, with 52.
