Shah Rukh Khan , often regarded as the 'King of Bollywood ,' recently shared his thoughts on fame and stardom during a conversation at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Despite being one of the most celebrated actors in the world, Shah Rukh admitted that he has never fully understood the concept of stardom, choosing to approach it with a sense of detachment. In a candid chat with the festival’s artistic director, Shah Rukh Khan shared his perspective on stardom, saying he doesn't quite grasp its concept.

He described himself as someone who constantly strives to entertain—whether through falling, performing stunts, singing, or acting. His aim is to bring joy, and in return, he receives affection from the audience. He elaborated that the love and adoration he receives from his fans stem from the happiness he brings them through his performances.

However, he views stardom as a mere byproduct of this connection, rather than the core of his identity. “Stardom is just a circumstantial, consequential byproduct of this. It has nothing to do with me and them,” Shah Rukh explained.

The actor expressed that while he values the recognition, affection, and financial success that come with stardom, he doesn’t let it shape his identity. He compared his approach to fame to wearing a T-shirt rather than a tuxedo, underscoring how he remains grounded despite his success.
