MTV Splitsvilla X5 recently concluded, but not without drama. The finale saw a significant twist when Digvijay Rathee, one of the most deserving contestants, was unexpectedly disqualified. In a recent live session, Digvijay shared his disappointment and revealed that Sunny Leone, the show’s host, strongly advocated for him.

Leone was reportedly upset with the decision and urged the production team to reconsider. The finale featured three finalist couples: Harsh-Rushali, Akriti-Jashwant, and Digvijay-Kashish. While Harsh and Akriti chose to compete, Kashish Kapoor opted for the prize money of 10 lac rupees, leading to Digvijay’s disqualification.

Kashish explained her choice by highlighting her financial constraints and her desire to support her brother’s education and give her parents a vacation. Despite her practical reasoning, Kashish faced backlash from fans and lost many followers on Instagram, as many perceived her decision as a betrayal. The episode was emotionally charged, with contestants and viewers reacting strongly to Kashish’s choice.

Sunny Leone, visibly upset, criticized the decision and expressed her disappointment. In a touching moment, Siwet Tomar, who had been a rival to Digvijay, offered words of comfort, drawing on his own experience of losing a finale. Digvijay’s close friend, Lakshay Gaur, also shared an emotional moment, revealing that he had waited to call his parents only to share his victory, which left everyone, including Sunny Leone, moved.

In the end, Jashwant Bopanna and Akriti Negi emerged as the winners of MTV Splitsvilla X5, narrowly beating Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav. The finale closed with contestants setting aside rivalries, embracing each other in a display of camaraderie..
