It’s official, the fourth Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film at Disney and Sony Pictures has locked in a July 24th 2026 release date. The news follows on from Holland confirming earlier this week that filming will begin next Summer on the film under the helm of “Shang-Chi” director Destin Daniel Cretton. The film will thus arrive in between the next two “Avengers” films with “Avengers: Doomsday” opening two months earlier on May 1st.
For now it is the sole Marvel film set to open between those films. The release also comes just one week after Chris Nolan’s new film opens, a film in which Holland has a major role. This will mark the second time a double dose of Tom Holland has topped the box-office following the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” & “Uncharted” double a few years ago.
The date also suggests filming on the project will begin earlier in the Summer than expected, possibly May-June as the last film took 14 months to get from start of filming to release. With Holland shooting Nolan’s film across the early half of 2025 and then jumping directly to “Spider-Man 4,” it does beg the question as to how much involvement in “Avengers: Doomsday” he might actually have..
