A Spanish woman listed five things she learned after moving to Ireland – including a phrase that makes people hate you. Claudia Sebastian packed up her bags and moved abroad on the hunt for job opportunities in the Emerald Isles. But like with any big move, it was a bit of a culture shock initially.
So here are the observations she made about life in Dublin – you can let us know if you agree with them in the comments section below. It must have been a shock to the system to leave all that sunshine behind, so Claudia quickly learned to adjust her clothing choices accordingly. She said: "It is said that in one day you live four seasons, which is why you need to use layers.
You might get up with a beautiful sunshine and ten minutes later it will be raining madly. So you always have to wear a coat and bring an umbrella." If you're a fan of mooching around cosy cafes, you're spoilt for choice in Dublin.
Claudia continued: "You will never be more than five minutes away from a coffee shop. You have all sorts and types around here." While she liked this perk, she wasn't a fan of the prices.
The Spaniard added: "If you love the coffee and cake plan for snacking, you are sorted, but coffee will cost you at least 3,50 Euros." Claudia struggled getting from place to place without being late. She continued: "If you don’t have much time, you will arrive late.
"The city is not made to cope with so much traffic and it collapses. If you want to get somewhere, leave your home at least on.
