Nigerian music executive, Soso Soberekon, has lost a $10,000 bet to singer, Zlatan Ibile , after Spain beat England in the UEFA Euro 2024 final on Sunday night. Soberekon and Zlatan, in a video earlier shared on their respective Instagram pages, were captured betting $10,000 each in favour of England and Spain. Soso captioned the post, “$10k Dolls bet against @zlatan_ibile for England to win Spain!!! @poco_lee Me for England @zlatan_ibile for Spain!!! let’s go!!!.
” However, Zlatan won the bet as Spain defeated England 2-1 to win a record fourth UEFA Euro title. Naija News reported that Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal got on the scoresheet as Spain defeated England to emerge the winner of the 2024 Euro tournament. Nico Williams scored the opening goal in the match on Sunday night.
However, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer scored an equalizer for England to make the game 1-1 in the second half following an assist from Jude Bellingham. Fortunately for Spain, Oyarzabal, who came in for Alvaro Morata, netted the final goal in the 86th minute of the game played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. Following the outcome of the game, Soberekon took to his Instagram story to share a crying emoji.
