Ahead of the exciting day, Saber Interactive has uncovered its Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 roadmap , which reveals free content to look forward to, such as new game modes, missions, and more. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 free post-launch content revealed As revealed on the Space Marine 2 Steam page , players looking forward to stepping into the shoes of the Emperor's Chosen to stem the tide of Tyranids will have new content to enjoy via free post-launch updates.
The updates will arrive as Seasons, including cosmetics based on a number of Space Marine Chapters for players who own the Season Pass. While it'll be September by the time Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches, Saber Interactive still has two Seasons planned for 2024. When the game launches, players who preordered Space Marine 2 will receive the Macragge's Chosen DLC featuring unique Chainsword, Bolt Rifle, and right Pauldron appearances, while Ultra Edition owners will unlock the Ultramarines Champions Pack (a unique full armor set for the Heavy class and an exclusive Heavy Bolter).
We don't have specific dates for the free updates, but Season 1 will arrive sometime around launch, bringing with it private PvE lobbies, a Sparring Arena on the Battle Barge, and ultrawide support on PC. Season Pass owners will unlock the Ultramarines Cosmetic Pack, featuring cosmetics from six Chapters. Season 2 is planned to roll out sometime between October and the end of the year, adding a fresh Operations map, a new Lethal difficulty level, a fresh enemy type, and a brand-new weapon: Neo-Volkite Pistol.
Season Pass owners will gain access to cosmetics from the Dark Angels Chapter. Season 3 will arrive in 2025, and it's loaded with content, including two Chapter cosmetics for Season Pass Owners. The free update itself will add another Operations mission, another new enemy, a fresh PvP game mode, additional PvP Arenas, Prestige ranks for PvP, and Battle Barge expansions.
Season 4 will follow later in the year, adding a Horde mode, as well as another new enemy to slaughter and a fresh weapon to wield while you're doing it. Season Pass owners will receive cosmetic packs for two more Chapters. Everything we know about Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has us more excited than ever to dive into Saber's galactic shooter.
