A Colorado sheriff’s office announced Thursday that they are investigating a series of “dinnertime burglaries” suspected to be part of a larger crime pattern linked to South American groups. “At least nine high-value, single-family homes” were targeted in the burglaries between February and October, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. Most of the break-ins occurred between the hours of 5 and 8 p.

Thieves have even used jamming devices to disable home alarm systems in similar cases in other states, but it’s unclear if the Colorado suspects are employing this tactic, according to police.
