Sooraj Barjatya and Anupam Kher have been creative collaborators and friends for four decades. They first met on the sets of Saaransh , where Anupam made his debut and Sooraj worked as the fourth assistant director on the Mahesh Bhatt film. On the official social media handle of Rajshri Productions, Sooraj Barjatya has penned a letter of appreciation for his friend, confidante and colleague, Anupam Kher, to mark his 40th year in Indian cinema.
Sooraj Barjatya wrote, “I have been a keen observer and a collaborator in Anupam Sir’s 40 year old journey in our Hindi film industry. I was the fourth AD on Saaransh, his debut film and our relationship, association and fondness for each other started from there. He gave me my first job on the sets which was to get him the script of Saaransh.
