‘ Sohag Chand ’ is set to witness a long-awaited happy spell in its storyline. The Bengali television show, that fast forwarded its story to six years after the divorce drama between the lead pair of the show Sohag and Chand, has arrived at a crucial point now. After Sohag and Chand applied for divorce, Sohag then left her home in Burdwan without telling anyone and moved to another city.
However, she had her daughter, Chorki, as company. After six long years, fate finally brought Chorki and Chand together. After six years, Sohag settled in another city with her daughter, Chorki, with her.
Meanwhile, Chand became a successful entrepreneur, running a thriving cricket academy. However, fate had its own plans bringing Chand and Chorki together, who were yet to be aware of their relationship. After a string of incidents, when Sohag finally revealed to Chand that Chorki was their daughter, Chand unfortunately encountered an accident.
Chorki then confronted Sohag, demanding to know why she had lied about her father. Sohag couldn't find the words to explain. Seeing her distress, Sayan and Khowai advised Sohag to come clean with Chand about the truth.
Summoning her courage, Sohag called Chand, but he didn't answer. Meanwhile, Chorki borrowed Dulal’s phone and called Chand, inviting him to Kolkata with the promise of a surprise. When Chand arrived in the bustling city, he saw Chorki in danger and rushed to save her from an oncoming car.
In his heroic act, Chand was hit instead, and as he lay unconscious, the last thing he heard was Chorki crying out for her father. Later, tensions flared between Sohag and Chand as they confronted each other, only for Chorki to find them in the midst of a fight. Determined to bring peace, Chorki devised a plan with the help of their families.
Her efforts paid off, and soon, Sohag will be returning to Haripur with Chorki and Chand. But will the two families accept her after 6 long years? What will happen once they learn Chorki’s true identity? ‘Sohag Chand’ narrates the story of Sohag, a compassionate young woman facing rejection from potential suitors due to her weight. In contrast, Chand is a fitness enthusiast with lofty life aspirations.
While Sohag remains optimistic about finding a Prince Charming who will appreciate her inner beauty, Chand dreams of establishing a sports academy and seeks a flawless and beautiful bride. As the plot unfolds, the audience discovers that Chand perceives the inner beauty of Sohag. Anwesa Ray Mukhopadhyay portrays the character of Sohag on the show, while Abhishek Veer Sharma takes on the role of Chand.
