1 2 Prayagraj : To ensure foolproof security measures for pilgrims arriving for Maha Kumbh next year, mela police are adopting a devotee-centric approach with an objective to set a new benchmark for public service during the world's biggest religious event. Cops have launched a comprehensive training programme at the Sankalp Training Pandal, Parade Ground with the motto ‘Suraksha Apki, Sankalp Humara' (your safety is our commitment). The initiative is designed to equip officers with the skills and mindset to assist millions of devotees, ensuring their safety while fostering a peaceful atmosphere.
The training for the first batch of policemen is being conducted in two sessions over a span of 21 days. The fair is expected to draw around 40 crore devotees from across the world. On the main bathing day of Mauni Amavasya, an estimated 10 crore devotees are likely to take a holy dip at the Sangam.
