Cape Town City baller, Jaedin Rhodes gets candid about his football journey and how the beautiful game saved his life. Check it out! As one of Cape Town City's brightest homegrown talents, Jaedin Rhodes will hope for a positive coming-of-age season under Eric Tinkler, hoping to develop further from a promising first couple of seasons in professional football. The young midfielder, who can also play on both wings, has already amassed over 50 league appearances for the Citizens, which is a solid amount of experience for the 21-year-old who broke through as an 18-year-old at the Western Cape-based club.

Speaking on SuperSport Unplugged with Fiso Mazibuko, on the set of his shared GQ South Africa, Rhodes revealed how football kept him on the straight and narrow. "For me, football, I had to go with it. It saved my life because what I was in, was catching on and I was naughty when I was younger, so I had to play football.

I couldn't give up, because it's the only thing that changed my life and saved it," said Rhodes, when asked why he pursued the game as a career. Watch below:.
