Soccer AM's biggest stars will soon return to screens across the nation, with former staple James 'Rocket' Long revealing big plans for the weekend footy show. Originally launched in August 1994, the beloved football-based comedy show ran for 29 years before getting the boot at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season. Helen Chamberlain, Tim Lovejoy, Max Rushden, John Fendley and Jimmy Bullard are among the famous faces who fronted the show over the years, recapping the world of football every Saturday morning while picking the brains of famous faces who appeared as guests.

Meanwhile, the likes of 'Rocket', Peter 'Tubes' Dale, and Adam Smith (aka Frankie Fryer) offered comedic value to the show, constantly coming up with entertaining skits relating to the beautiful game. And while we haven't seen any 'Taxi', 'Showboat', 'Soccer AM Pro AM' or 'You Know The Drill' segments for over a year now, Rocket has plans to bring the widely-watched show back under a different banner and format. Speaking to talkSPORT, Long said: "The show's been off air for a whole season now.

This show is very much a look back at .
