A newly-married father with twins on the way has been remembered fondly after a fatal crash in Medowie. Login or signup to continue reading Joel Perkins died after a motorcycle and vehicle collided on Abundance Road about 11.30am on Monday, November 25.

A fundraiser set up to support his family has already collected more than $34,000 in just a few days with loved ones describing the father-to-be as "one of the sweetest and most joyous souls" and "a great friend, beloved husband, son, brother and cousin". Mr Perkins and his wife Alex recently bought a home and were expecting twin baby boys in April 2025. "The couple still on a high from their wedding only just four weeks ago and about to get ready to head off on their honeymoon come this Saturday," the GoFundMe page created by Eilish Jones states.
