A court reportedly granted Snoop Dogg permission to have his murder charge record from 1993 sealed. Snoop Dogg made some quiet legal moves in January and recently revealed legal documents say his past troubles were officially put to rest late in February, according to an Oct. 9 report by TMZ .

The legendary artist was famously arrested following an emotionally-charged MTV Awards performance of his hit single, “Murder Was The Case,” which was penned amid the flurry of allegations that surrounded the star at the time. Snoop Dogg was a breakthrough artist on the hip hop scene when he and his bodyguard McKinley Lee were accused of shooting and killing rival gang member Philip Woldermariam in a Los Angeles park in August 1993. The murder plot gripped audiences and news outlets and the case quickly became a spectacle.



Police alleged that Lee fired the deadly shots at Woldermariam from a car Snoop Dogg was behind the wheel of, and they both faced life behind bars.
