Snooker ace Jack Lisowski was visibly frustrated after yet another defeat to Mark Allen in a nail-biting match at the Scottish Open in Edinburgh. The 33 year old had an early lead and seemed set to win the seven-frame game, having scored breaks of 106 and 80 to level the score at 3-3. However, Northern Irishman Allen's skill shone through as he twice came from behind, even scoring a 112 break in the fourth frame.

Despite this, Allen didn't need to do anything to secure victory, as Lisowski essentially handed him the win after taking a 68 break lead in the final frame. Preparing for a shot on the red in the bottom-right pocket, Lisowski seemed to rush and paid the price, hitting the red against the cushion and moving it further from the pocket. Normally, he would have waited for Allen's next move, but his frustration got the better of him.

Instead of returning to his seat, 'Jack-pot' dramatically picked up the green ball and threw it into the pocket. This prompted laughter and applause from the audience as the two players shook hands. Such a move would usually result in a four-point penalty, which Lisowski would have been aware of.

Rather than waiting to see if Allen potted the next red, he took matters into his own hands, so to speak, reports the Express . "That's the end of that, Mark Allen does it again," said the commentator, seemingly baffled by Lisowski's unusual decision to force the end of the match. However, the manner of his victory was of no concern to Allen.
