Event Overview Vancouver is set to host its first-ever Sneaker Customization Event, a unique celebration blending the love for sneakers with artistic creativity. This event, driven by the mission to unite the diverse community of British Columbia, will allow participants to express themselves through the art of sneaker customization while supporting local businesses and a non-profit organization. Event Details: – Date: Saturday, October 5th, 2024 – Time: 12 PM – 8 PM, featuring three 2-hour sessions: – 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM – Location:** Friends Quarters, 328 W Hastings St Unit 110, Vancouver, BC V6B 1K6 This event promises an exciting and inclusive experience for all attendees.
Whether you are a seasoned artist or a sneaker enthusiast with no prior customization experience, everyone is welcome to unleash their creativity and craft their unique pair of sneakers. Live Customization Workshops : Join professional sneaker artist Dawn Tanjili (@grailsbydawnn on Instagram) for an immersive experience in sneaker customization. Participants will learn various techniques and tips to create their masterpieces.
Community Engagement : In a spirit of giving back, $5 from every ticket sold, plus a 50% match by Sole Craft, will be donated to Capilano Community Services Society (@capilano_community_services on Instagram). CCSS provides free and low-cost social programs and support services to seniors, youth, families, and children in North and West Vancouver, promoting health and well-being so individuals and families can thrive. Local Business Collaboration : We are thrilled to partner with Looped Laces (@loopedlaces on Instagram), a local business founded by Annie and Noah Natovich.
Since 2021, they have been offering sneaker laces and providing exceptional lace tutorials. This partnership seeks to enhance the community’s economic structure and provide support to local entrepreneurs.We are in discussions with Dank Mart and Hype Chocolate to enhance the guest experience further.
DJ Collaboration : Enjoy the tunes of Vancouver’s top DJ, Jason Joseph, aka Mr. Floetic (@mrfloetic on Instagram). He will be providing the soundtrack for the event, ensuring high-energy and positive vibes throughout.
