The 109th Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia Operative Workshop and “Update on Minimally Invasive Surgery” was conducted at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Wednesday. The event was organized by the Department of General and Minimal Invasive Surgery and focused on advancements in minimally invasive surgical techniques, with in-depth discussions on abdominal wall hernias and digestive surgeries led by renowned local and national experts. Over 100 delegates attended the workshop, which featured insightful presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive sessions.
The event culminated with a specialized training session at the Vet Lab in the Skill Development Centre SKIMS, designed for postgraduate students and fellows, offering hands-on experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques. The workshop provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and collaboration among surgeons from across the globe. Director SKIMS and EOSG Prof.
