Thursday, August 15, 2024 Iraqi Airways renews its partnership with SITA , aiming to modernize passenger processing and baggage systems, enhancing travel experiences at key airports. Iraqi Airways has extended its collaborative efforts with SITA, a top-tier provider of IT services in the aviation industry, to further enhance its innovative approaches to managing passenger and luggage services, thereby enriching the onboard experience with its alliance carriers, including the emblematic Green Bird. A pivotal element in enhancing passenger services will be the deployment of SITA’s Flex Hybrid system.
This system is set to streamline the check-in process at Baghdad and Basra airports by offering airline staff rapid and secure access to necessary systems and applications via a highly adaptable cloud infrastructure. This setup is designed to easily adjust to varying passenger volumes. Furthermore, the airline is set to upgrade its luggage handling operations through the introduction of SITA Bag Manager Online.
This technology provides comprehensive tracking of each piece of luggage from the moment it is loaded onto an aircraft, a Unit Load Device (ULD), or a cart. It ensures all bags are correctly associated with departing travelers and monitored in real time across the airport premises, thus ensuring accurate loading onto the intended flights. This system not only offers travelers reassurance but also allows airport staff to dedicate their efforts to more intricate tasks.
Lastly, the adoption of SITA’s Information Display System will transform the airline’s approach to flight information displays. This modern interface will offer travelers timely, automatic updates on flight status changes, keeping them well-informed and prepared for departures and arrivals. Mr.
