Meri Brown wants what she’s owed from her ex Kody Brown . The former couple, who originally married in 1990, have officially split after years of estrangement, and on the Nov. 17 episode of Sister Wives , Meri made it clear that she’s ready to get out, literally.
“I was wondering if you’d be willing to help me load some stuff," Meri asked Kody of helping her move from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Parowan, Utah, “and then would you be interested in driving a truck up there for me? Call it my severance package.” Kody seemed shocked by the comment. “On what?” he asked his ex.
“Our marriage?” In his confessional, the father of 18, who shares child Leon Brown , 29, with Meri, later added that he couldn’t understand her intentions behind the “severance” comment. “It’s a weird space to be with the severance package thing because I don’t know if this is passive aggressive or if it’s just aggressive,” he said, “or if it’s a joke and I don’t know. And I haven’t known my whole marriage.
” Meri and Kody legally divorced in 2014 so that Kody could marry his fourth wife Robyn Brown in an effort to legally adopt her three children from a previous marriage. Despite this, Meri and Kody remained spiritually married, though they became estranged in the final years of their marriage. Meri officially called it quits with Kody in late 2022 after both Christine Brown and Janelle Brown split from the former polygamist.
