is terrified of having close friend change his long standing screen look - for fear of her dressing him in rhinestones. revealed that has ducked the opportunity to ditch his favoured items of t-shirt and jeans alongside her for almost a decade. Cowell has in fact not altered his telly look since he first appeared on our screens as a judge in 2001's Pop Idol.

Entrepreneur Klum boasts a formidable career in fashion having designed shoes for Birkenstock, clothing for Jordache, jewelry for Mouawad, a Victoria's Secret lingerie line and a men's clothing line for German mail-order catalog called Otto. However, her co-star and show boss Cowell doesn't trust his style icon pal to "razzle dazzle" his image. Speaking exclusively on video on the red carpet at AGT in Hollywood, Klum revealed she has "tried many times" to upgrade his look.

She said: "I said, 'why don't we go shopping?' He always thinks that I want to put him in something silly, which is not true. I just want to get a little variety. And it's not that I don't love what he wears.

It's simple. He is a T-shirt and pants, but there's nothing a little razzle dazzle." She continued: "And I want him a little razzle dazzle, but he thinks, when I say razzle dazzle, I think he's worried that I'm going to put him in rhinestones head to toe, which I totally don't want to do.

I just want some variety in the closet and on our desk. But he's not there for it." Klum, who is famous for hosting the most famous celebrity Halloween party in the world, laughed at the suggestion that Cowell could sport rhinestones for that gala.

Rhinestone Cowboy is a 1975 country hit sung by Glen Campbell. She added that the 63-year music mogul is on the guest list for this year's Halloween fancy dress bash. She said: "I invite all my judges and Terry, a lot of the people from the crew, everyone is always invited year after year.

Sofia (Vergara) said this year she might come, so I told her already to get on that costume tomorrow." Klum felt that Vergara could wear the outfit and prosthetics from her Emmy nominated role as Columbian drug lord Griselda. Cowell was caught in more drama on AGT this week upsetting co-judge Howie Mandel.

He raged at Cowell for stealing Japanese acrobat group Airfootworks after their breathtaking performance, by announcing: "I am just about to get myself fired" and hitting the Live Show Golden Buzzer. Fellow judge Heidi Klum compared them to feuding school boys, but admitted that Cowell can do anything as it is TV show. She said: "No-one can stop Simon Cowell if it's not his turn, he makes it his turn and we love him for it.

We, I love that he breaks the rules. If anyone can break the rules, it's the boss and yeah, again, we love him for it because he is just wild and crazy." The AGT final will air on NBC on Tuesday, September 17 and the Results show will be broadcast on September 24.
