: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lauded the people of Sandur for rejecting the BJP’s misinformation campaigns, and for choosing development by ensuring the Congress victory in the recent by-elections. Addressing a large gathering in Sandur to thank voters, Siddaramaiah took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of failing to back up his claims. “From local BJP leaders to their national leaders, everyone spread lies on the Waqf issue.

During the Maharashtra elections, Modi ji accused us of Rs 700 crore corruption. I challenged him to prove the allegations and said I would retire from politics if he succeeded, but he lacked the courage to do so. Siddaramaiah thanked the voters for ensuring the victory of Congress candidates in the by-elections in three constituencies and standing by him despite the BJP’s alleged false cases and conspiracies. “By winning the three by-elections, the people of the state have given a huge blessing to our government. The people have given a fitting reply to the BJP, which had plotted against me with false cases and accusations.

As long as I have your blessings, there is no question of me, Siddaramaiah, being afraid of any conspiracy or false case,” he declared.
