New Delhi : A British woman, Emily Damari, was among many who were taken hostage by Hamas during their attack on Israel on October 7 last year. Emily’s mother has now written a heart-breaking letter to her daughter while requesting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to get the message sent to her by any means possible – and asked the British government to ensure her return, reported Daily Mail. Emily Damari, the 28-year-old woman, is a British-Israeli dual citizen.



She was taken hostage from her home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, near Gaza border, where Emily was born and brought up, the report added. Emily’s mother Mandy Damari, who is fearing the very worst for her daughter, has been travelling across the world for the last one year to lobby for Emily’s release. Earlier this week, she went to Downing Street and gave the note for her daughter to Starmer.

She said that many of the British people do not even know that a UK citizen remains in captivity. Therefore, she requested Starmer to mention Emily whenever the UK government mentions ab.
