Pune: Residents of several housing societies in Vimannagar are grappling with a severe water crisis after supply disruption entered its second day on Friday. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had announced water cuts on Thursday. However, there was continued disruption on Friday and it left many residential complexes dry.

Area resident Pravin Kanago said, "The planned water cut was on Thursday, but there was no supply on Friday to our society and many others in Vimannagar. Resultantly, there was a severe shortage of utility and drinking water. We have been facing shortages for the last one month.

The complete lack of supply worsened the situation and we ordered around 10-12 water tankers for utility purposes in the last two days." Society management committees said they are facing difficulties in securing water tankers because of the high demand in the area. "There's a waiting period after placing orders for tankers.

Everyone in the neighbourhood is trying to arrange for water simultaneously," said a society officebearer. The issue has particularly impacted daily activities, with residents left struggling..
