But, did you know that Ramesh Sippy’s directorial is not the only film featuring Amjad Khan as ‘Gabbar’? Amjad Khan has reprised his character for another film that was released in 1991. This film is often considered a ‘sleeper hit.’ Sleeper hits are films that do not really earn well at the time of release but become a hit eventually.

It is said, this parody film also aided Khan at a time when he struggling with his career and monetarily as well. The film is named as ‘Ramgarh ke Sholay’ While Gabbar left an indelible mark in the industry, Amjad Khan struggled with health issues and had a rocky career. Reportedly, due to ill health, his career took a hit.

He was living with obesity and did not get many film that also led to financial instability too. At this juncture in his life, ‘Ramgarh ke Sholay’ happened for him. .
