George and Amal Clooney showed a rare moment of PDA during a dinner in Italy on Wednesday. The “Ocean’s Eleven” star and the human rights attorney shared a passionate kiss while seated at a table at the famed Villa d’Este hotel on Lake Como. Amal, 46, rested her hand on her husband’s cheek as he leaned in to give her the smooch in front of the guests at their table during what appeared to be the dessert course of their meal.
At another point, the “Up in the Air” actor, 63, wrapped his arm around his wife and leaned in to plant a kiss her on the head. While Amal looked her typical glamorous self in a strappy black dress and heels, George opted for a more comfortable look. The “ER” alum wore a black crewneck T-shirt and slacks — but removed his shoes so he could sit barefoot at the five-star hotel’s table.
It is unclear how long he left his loafers to air out beneath his chair, but it looks like the seven other people at the table, one of whom was Amal’s mother, left their hooves contained. Although the luxurious meal appeared to be a family affair, the longtime couple seems to have left their 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, at home. Page Six exclusively reported in September 2023 that George was selling his Lake Como estate for $107 million after 21 years of ownership.
“George loves the area and the people who live there, but is conscious of the attention he gets when he is in town,” a source told us. “He has received a huge offer for the villa, which he is considering, and he would buy another, less accessible property in another area of Italy.” Although the “Batman & Robin” actor initially denied the story, an Italian real estate agency shared it had found a potential buyer just a couple of weeks after our report.
