Listen to Story Shloka Mehta made a strong case for sustainable fashion as she re-wore her wedding lehenga for her brother-in-law Anant Ambani’s wedding festivities in Mumbai on July 12. Her sister Diya Mehta Jatia shared pictures of Shloka, stunning in the ensemble, which was slightly modified for one of the events. The red undertone of Shloka’s lehenga, designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, was changed to pink to create a fresh look.
Featuring intricate zardozi jaali, the lehenga was hand-embroidered with jadau and cutwork. The outfit was complete with a royal embellished blouse and a dupatta featuring trellis and borders with beautiful floral motifs. “We wanted to create a special look that celebrates love and what better than @shloka11’s own wedding lehenga.
We decided to change the undertone to pink for a fresh look,” Diya said in the caption of her post. Shloka styled her attire with royal jewels, a bejewelled bun and subtle makeup.
