A SHIPWRECKED TV star looked completely unrecognisable as he reunited with Jeff Brazier for a sweet snap. The duo starred on the Channel 4 reality show together back in 2001, in what was the show's third instalment. Shipwrecked was one of the earliest reality shows, launching in 2000.

It ran for three series before going off air, before returning six years later. Aussie Geordie Taylor was one of dad-of-two Jeff's co-stars 23 years ago - and the pair have kept a close bond. A new snap posted to Jeff's Instagram grid showed the Essex lad with Geordie and his three kids.

In the fresh snap he donned a checked shirt and beaming smile, looking fresh-faced. Race Across The World star Jeff posted a heart-warming caption to accompany the image on his page and wrote: "My heart is literally still full from meeting up with my Aussie mate Geordie, his beautiful wife Charlotte & gorgeous girls yesterday morning! "So Geordie was the rugged voice of reason with all the outback bush tucker skills that kept us all alive on Shipwrecked in 2001! Most read in Reality "We’ve always kept in touch but this was the first time meeting the family and I loved hearing the stories from their five month trip around the world.

"I’m so proud of him, I met him as a 20 year old and here he is giving his children a wonderful life experience making memories they’ll never forget." Referring to Geordie's wife he added: "I also gained a sister yesterday in @charlottecoote. "It was short but sweet but I can feel a couple of weeks in Australia coming on next year!" Charlotte, who was not pictured, was quick to reply and reinforce the pair's close bond.

She added: "Gained a brother @jeffbrazier you are a legend, we can’t wait to welcome you to your Australian home." Since launching in 2019, BBC travel competition series Race Across The World has had four series to date. Let's take a look at back at the winners so far.

.. Series one: Elaine and Tony Teasdale: This married couple, who are retired PE teachers, won the very first series of Race Across The World.

Series two: Emon and Jamiul Choudhury: The uncle and nephew duo emerged victorious in the show's second outing. Series three: Tricia Sail and Cathie Rowe: These lifelong friends became the first non-familial pair to win a series. Series four: Alfie Watts and Owen Wood: Both aged 20, these friends bested four other pairs to win series four.

Other snaps saw the TV stars enjoying a hug before heading out for dinner. Back in 2002, they were part of a 17-strong gang - which included three Aussies and 14 English stars. They were tasked with battling the elements on a remote island for three months.

In 2006, Shipwrecked returned to screens with a new “battle of the islands” format where rival tribes competed to recruit newcomers in a bid to be the largest group and take home up to £100,000 in prize money. In total, it ran for eight series, with a final “back to basics” edition on E4 in 2012. Jeff has become a famous face since his island stint on the reality show.

His presenting gigs have included X Factor's live tour, Finders Keepers and the I'm A Celebrity spin-off shows - as well as competition segments on This Morning. The star dated the late Big Brother star Jade Goody from 2002-2004, and raised the couple's two children Bobby and Freddie.
