There were times last season when Adrian Misaljevic doubted himself. Especially when the Kitchener Rangers winger saw his point production dip after a scorching start. “Last year, I was a little too down on myself especially in the second half because things weren’t going my way,” he said.

The 20-year-old Woodbridge native shifted his mentality in the off-season. “It’s hard to explain,” he said of his renewed approach to the game. “It’s just about being positive all the time.

Misaljevic scored his first career hat trick and added three assists as the Rangers doubled the visiting Sudbury Wolves 8-4 at the Aud on Friday. It was Kitchener’s eighth victory in row and gives the Ontario Hockey League’s top squad points in 13 consecutive games. Misaljevic’s sextet has him tied with former teammate — and linemate — Carson Rehkopf for fourth overall in OHL scoring with 25 points.
