A tourist was tragically killed by a shark in the Red Sea off the coast of a luxury resort in Egypt - with the predator later being captured and found to have the victim's remains inside. Vladimir Popov, 23, from Russia , was swimming when he was savagely attacked by a 10-foot tiger shark near Hurghada. The gruesome scene turned the water red as horrified onlookers witnessed Vladimir being eaten alive.

A chilling video from the beach caught his desperate cries for help, with him screaming "Papa, save me". A shaken witness recounted to the Telegram channel Baza: "It's a terrible thing, the remains of this guy are over there. I'm shaking.

Right in front of my eyes, the shark ate that guy. I think I need a drink. I feel really bad".

Yury Popov, Vladimir's father, spoke to news network 112 about the horrific incident: "My son was attacked by a shark, it all happened in seconds". He lamented the lack of immediate help during the attack in June of this year, saying: "What kind of help can you give? This 'meat grinder' happened in 20 seconds, he was just dragged under the water". He spoke of his disbelief at the event, noting the beach's reputation for safety: "This is an absolutely ridiculous coincidence, because it is a safe beach.

There are ships and yachts around. It's never happened there. They usually attack on wild beaches.

It's just some kind of evil fate." Another eyewitness spoke to Russian station REN-TV the swift nature of the attack: "It happened in a second. Rescuers reacted very quickly.

" They added: "For some reason, I immediately felt that it was a shark. I immediately jumped up and started shouting: 'Sharks, sharks! Save yourself! ' Nobody understood yet.'".

Following the attack, the tiger shark was captured and brought to shore by a boat, where it was then reportedly "clubbed to death on the beach in revenge". According to news outlet Al Arabiya, specialists later dissected the shark, discovering the remains of the young man within its intestines, reports the Daily Star ..
