Shannen Doherty's mother is taking over the actor's podcast after the "Charmed" star in July. In the latest episode of Shannen Doherty's podcast, Rosa Doherty revealed that she would be continuing the show in her daughter's name and legacy. "This podcast meant so much to Shannen because it allowed her to tell her story and tell her truth," Rosa Doherty said.

"And over the years there's been so many stories and untruths and things mixed up. "Finally (Shannen) said, 'I want to do this. And I have so many people that have followed me over the years and have supported me, and I just want to give them the opportunity to hear what my life really is,'" Rosa Doherty added.

While introducing the episode, titled "Let's Be Clear...

Continues," Rosa Doherty said she will keep the podcast going "because that's what we discussed that she wanted me to do." "And of course, I'm not her. I could never be her.

I'm not as well spoken as she was, but I'm here for all of you and I hope you're here for me," she said. Rosa Doherty was joined by her daughter's longtime friend, Anne Marie Kortright, who called her "Mama Rosa." Later in the episode, the two took questions, and responded to one listener asking what they think is Shannen Doherty's legacy.

"Her legacy will be the love that she gave to everybody that she knew, and the love that she gave to people that she didn’t know," Rosa Doherty said. She said continuing the podcast will celebrate her daughter's mark on the world — though she reiterated hosting is not natural for her. "I'm still a little shy with it," Rosa Doherty said.

"It's a little overwhelming for me but as I get along, down the road it'll be better." Shannen Doherty at the age of 53 after a battle with breast cancer. The "Charmed" star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 before going into remission two years later.

In 2020, she announced that Becca Wood is a news and trending reporter for TODAY Digital based in New York City. Follow her on Instagram and Twitter..
