Shannen Doherty left behind very detailed instructions for her loved ones to follow just months before her death. The Beverly Hills 90210 star, who sadly passed away on Saturday after a nine-year-long battle with cancer , discussed burial arrangements as well as her funeral plans during an instalment of her Let’s Be Clear podcast back in January. "I want [my remains] to be mixed with my dog, and I want it to be mixed with my dad.

I do not want to be buried and not cremated," she told her listeners. The Charmed actress also shared how she wanted the mixture to be spread in Malibu, California , where she and her father spent "precious time" together. Her father, John Thomas Doherty died in 2010 at age 66 after a lengthy health battle.

In the same podcast episode, the star also opened up about who isn't invited to her funeral, explaining that she wants it to be a more private event. "There’s a lot of people that I think would show up that I don’t want there. I don’t want them there because their reasons for showing up aren’t necessarily the best reasons," she admitted.

"Like, they don’t really like me and, you know, they have their reasons and good for them, but they don’t actually really like me enough to show up to my funeral,' Shannen added. She went on to explain how she wanted people to turn up for the right reasons, saying: "[They’ll show up] because it’s the politically correct thing to do, and they don’t want to look bad, so I kinda want to take the pressure off them and I want my funeral to be like a love fest." "I don’t want people to be crying or people to privately be like, 'Thank God that b*tch is dead now,'" she concluded of her funeral wishes.

On Sunday, Shannen's long-time publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed the actress' sad death . "It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,' Leslie told People in a statement.

"The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,' she added..
