Superstar Shah Rukh Khan extended greetings to the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day and his picture is breaking the internet. The Bollywood ‘Badshah’ unfurled the tricolour of the top of ‘Mannat’ and thousands of fans stormed outside the iconic house to get a glimpse of the superstar. Dressed in a white shirt, SRK looked dashing as always in his long hair.

“Let’s celebrate our beautiful country India with pride in our hearts...

. Happy Independence Day and love to all!!” King Khan wrote on Instagram. He was also accompanied by his family including wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana and son AbRam.

However, SRK’s eldest son Aryan was missing in the picture. The viral picture shows the Khan family posing for a picture with the tricolour in Mannat. Within hours of sharing on Instagram, SRK’s Independence Day picture has garnered over 3.

5M likes with thousands of comments from his fans and followers. Moreover, fans who usually gather outside Mannat on the actor’s birthday and Eid, broke the traditional ritual and assembled in huge numbers to wish him on Independence Day. While SRK has given various patriotic movies like Chak De India, Main Hoon Naa, Pathaan, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani to name a few, his silence on the Kolkata rape and murder outraged his fans.

As SRK has a special connection with West Bengal Chief Minister and also a co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, angry fans slammed him for his silence. “A doctor was brutally gangraped and murdered. The nation is looking forward to your one speech.

❤️❤️❤️,” shared a fan. Another fan wrote, “Where women are getting r**ed day in and day out, where protests of millions are silenced with state sponsored vandalism, is this the beautiful country you're talking about here good Sir ? You have been a favourite since childhood, but my principles have also taught me that my HEROs can make mistakes too, for what I see around me, I can't find anything to take pride in. Love.

” “You are a superstar. People look at you with great hope and follows you . And it’s been days since that Kolkata incident had happened.

And you are not going to say a word about it ??? Where is humanity ?? I think it’s buried under fame and money,” shared another user..
