Shah Rukh Khan voices Mufasa in the new The Lion King Hindi trailer Following the success of Disney’s 2019 live-action The Lion King, Mufasa: The Lion King is both a prequel and sequel to the previous film. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the story expands the beloved universe by focusing on Mufasa’s early years. The trailer reveals the journey of a young orphaned lion named Mufasa and his brother, Taka, who later becomes the infamous Scar.



Their adventures, alongside a diverse group of characters, form the heart of this new film. In the Hindi version of the film, Shah Rukh Khan reprises his role as Mufasa, a role he first voiced in the 2019 remake. His sons also play significant parts: Aryan Khan voices the older Simba, while AbRam voices the young Mufasa.
