Veteran writers Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan seem to be making news for the recently released docuseries Angry Young Men, which traces their journey towards stardom and explores their inter-personal relationship with families and partners, albeit briefly. Readers would be aware that despite both the filmmakers being married to actresses after their first marriage, they both share a beautiful camaraderie not only with their kids but also their ex-partners. Giving a glimpse of the same was Javed Akhtar’s second wife and veteran actress Shabana Azmi, who was seen at the birthday celebration of the lyricist’s first wife Honey Irani.
Shabana Azmi shares THROWBACK photo from Javed Akhtar’s ex-wife Honey Irani’s birthday bash Taking to her official Instagram page, Shabana Azmi posted a rare photo of the family get-together from the birthday celebrations of Honey Irani which not only featured her and Javed Akhtar but also the entire family including Javed and Honey Irani’s children Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar, who was accompanied by his second wife Shibani Dandekar. The celebrations were also attended by other family members, including the Dandekars. Recalling this nostalgic memory, Shabana posted the same with the caption, “Happy family on Honeys last birthday”.
In an earlier report, Shabana Azmi had discussed about her relationship with Honey Irani wherein she had only words of appreciation for her. “In any triangular relationship, it is very personal and it's very painful, especially when there are children involved. But I give huge credit to Honey.
She could have very easily filled the children with tales against me. She just didn't do that. She gave them the security that ‘You do not have to consider her an evil stepmother’.
She and I have a very warm and really nice relationship. All three of us were very graceful but sabse zyada (she was). She had the most to give and she gave that,” she said.
