Celebs such as Lorraine Kelly and Carol McGiffin show how much fun they’re having in later life – and they look incredible. And after Michelle Collins nearly broke the internet with a super-flattering swimwear snap, we celebrate these inspirational women who prove age is just a number.

.. Former Loose Women panellist Carol often wows fans by sharing gorgeous swimwear snaps on Instagram.

Carol, 64, doesn’t let body woes hold her back and said this year, “I look at pictures of me at 22 and think, ‘Oh, I don’t look like that any more’ but it doesn’t stop me wearing a bikini and going to the beach.” Carol said she sticks to a healthy and organic diet, revealing, “The worst thing we might eat is a slice of pizza! But, I do like my wine.” Lorraine has graced the small screen for four decades and – despite the early starts – she still looks great doing it.

The presenter is a big advocate for daily collagen and a “fantastic eye cream”. But when it comes to her figure, Lorraine, 64, admitted that she was “unhappy” with her weight after the 2020 lockdown. Joining WW – formerly Weight Watchers – in 2022, she is now back to feeling content in herself and walks her border terrier, Angus, to stay in shape.

At 62 years old, EastEnders star Michelle Collins looks sensational – and is oozing confidence – but what’s her secret? The actress, who plays Cindy Beale on the BBC soap, has spoken openly about managing menopause symptoms and how she stays in shape. Michelle started HRT patches six years ago, and credits the hormone therapy for keeping her energy in check. The actress is also a strict vegetarian and tries not to go too off track.

“I overindulge every so often, but I suffer for days if I overeat or drink, so I keep it limited – life is for living after all,” she said. Known for being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl, Elle – nicknamed ‘The Body’ – has always known how to work the camera. And since turning 60 this year, getting older isn’t something the supermodel gets worked up about.

“I don’t focus on ageing,” she said. “I think it’s more important to focus on the quality of the life that you’re living and how you’re living life to the fullest. They always say it’s not the years in your life, it’s the life in your years.

” The Australian also believes beauty starts from within, and has her own brand of beauty and wellness supplements, WelleCo. Elle credits supplements for giving her a lifestyle overhaul after she struggled with sugar cravings. If there’s anyone who epitomises becoming more confident with age, it’s the 63-year-old former Countdown star.

Feeling confident and getting fit is something that came later in life for Carol , who said, “Women who are in their sixties weren’t brought up to exercise. You had PE at school but there were certainly no gyms. I came to exercise late; now I love walking and I love my gym.

I’ve started stretching a lot, too. I think, as you get older, you need to do weight-bearing stuff and you need to stretch and squat. If you don’t, even for a couple of weeks, you start creaking.

” Loose Women star Denise has never looked better – and is feeling fabulous, too! Denise, 66, follows the LighterLife diet plan and has said of it, “It works for me because I don’t count calories and every meal has all your vitamins and minerals. I feel better physically and mentally than I did in my twenties and thirties.” When it comes to exercise, Denise says she enjoys ‘walking football’.

“It’s so good as a physical exercise but also great for improving mood and getting those endorphins going”. From that banana leaf outfit to hotpants, Sinitta ’s never been afraid to show off her figure. And since turning 60 last October, the singer admitted she feels a new kind of sexy.

“I feel more confident, sexually, as a woman. Even though my body is not as good as it was when I was 18, I’m much happier in my body now,” said Sinitta days before turning 60. When it comes to exercise, Sinitta - who previously opened up to OK! about her new football-mad man - does reformer Pilates three to four times a week – crediting it for her strong physique.

She also loves Japanese food and follows a healthy diet. Actress and model Brigitte took Hollywood by storm when she first rose to prominence in her twenties and now, at 61 years old, she’s still killing it. After her surprise pregnancy at age 54 , Brigitte has been living her best life ever since.

“Two weeks after [the birth], I’d lost the weight,” said the star. And now, Brigitte is feeling great. “I’m just really comfortable in my own skin, which I wasn’t for a long time,” she said in 2023.

“It’s nice to be 60 and feel quite pleased with what you look like.” Sharon is known for her sexy roles in films such as Casino and Catwoman. And showing she’s still got it at 66, the actress recreated her iconic scene from Basic Instinct recently.

Sharon maintains her figure by following the low-carb GI Diet, and has done for the last 10 years. This means that her diet is heavy in red meat, quinoa, lentils and vegetables, but she avoids sugar and carbs. She also has a varied fitness routine, incorporating yoga, Pilates and strength training.
