A lane is closed on the M61 northbound this morning (October 19) after a crash. This is affecting the M61 northbound, from junction six in Horwich to Millennium Way, in Chorley. There are “severe delays” of 12 minutes and increasing.
Traffic is slow. Police have been approached for more details. A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “Lane closed and slow traffic due to crash on M61 Northbound from J6 A6027 De Havilland Way (Horwich) to J8 A674 Millennium Way (Chorley).
“Severe delays of twelve minutes and delays increasing on M61 Northbound between J6 A6027 De Havilland Way (Horwich) and J8 A674 Millennium Way (Chorley). Average speed 10 mph.”.
