Monday, September 9, 2024 On Saturday, Serbia witnessed the inauguration of the Shandong China-Europe Express Railway Assembly Center, a facility that is set to significantly contribute to the development of the country’s infrastructure and energy initiatives. The Shandong China-Europe Express Railway Assembly Center was officially opened on Saturday in Indjija, a town located about 50 kilometers from Belgrade. This development marks a significant step in enhancing trade routes between China and Europe through Serbia.

The inaugural event also witnessed the introduction of a specialized supply chain train designed for Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd., a major Chinese company.



The event brought together officials from both Serbia and China, underlining the importance of this collaboration for both nations’ economic growth. Serbian Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirovic, highlighted the center’s strategic importance in boosting Serbia’s infrastructure and energy sectors. He noted that the assembly center positions Serbia as a vital logistics hub within the region, which will further strengthen its role in European trade networks.

Zhang Zhe, the charge d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, called on businesses from both countries to deepen their cooperation. He emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties to maximize the potential of the new logistics infrastructure and enhance economic partnerships..
