VIVIAN, La. - The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for any information leading to the whereabouts of Kendley Thompson, 81, of Vivian, who was reported missing in November 2021. Thompson was last seen wandering away from his home on Northwest Front Street.

His family is asking investigators to continue their search despite no new leads in three years. "We don't know what happened to him. We don't know if he's alive or deceased.

We just want closure," said daughter Pattie Jackson. Thompson was reported missing on a Wednesday. Jackson says on the Monday before his disappearance, he was seen at the local Subway.

Employees called the Vivian Police Department to report an elderly, disoriented man who was looking for a ride to his son's home in Oil City. Thompson was given a ride home by a police officer, but told the officer it was not his house. "If he can't tell you his name, if he doesn't know where he lives, and you take him to the home while he says, 'That's not my house,' why would you leave him? Why wasn't he taken to the hospital?" said Jackson.

A passerby saw Thompson standing in his front yard speaking to a young woman on the day he was reported missing. When a welfare check was conducted by police and family, Thompson was not found inside his home. "Inside the house it looked like someone was searching for something.

It was torn to pieces," said Jackson. The wooded area behind Thompson's house is dense. Jackson says he never wandered around town, and it was str.
