Friday, August 16, 2024 Seabourn , renowned for its ultra-luxury cruises and expedition journeys, has unveiled a fresh lineup of immersive itineraries aboard Seabourn Quest, set to traverse Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal between December 2025 and April 2026. The Seabourn Quest will embark on 22 distinct itineraries, visiting 46 destinations across 13 countries, including a newly introduced series of 10-day roundtrip voyages from Papeete (Tahiti), offering an in-depth exploration of French Polynesia. Ranging from 10 to 48 days, these itineraries present guests with a wealth of opportunities to discover new landscapes and immerse themselves in authentic cultural experiences.
Highlights of the season include the 10-day voyages from Papeete, a 19-day journey through the Panama Canal from Long Beach, California, to Miami, and 15-day cruises in Australia and New Zealand. Select itineraries will feature overnight stays in coastal cities like Cairns and Melbourne in Australia, as well as Bora Bora and Tahiti in French Polynesia. Extended stops are also planned in Napier, New Zealand; Honolulu and Kona in Hawaii; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Cartagena on Colombia’s Caribbean coast.
“Along with navigating breathtaking coastlines and introducing guests to vibrant cultures, Seabourn Quest’s itineraries invite guests to indulge in unmatched luxury, refinement, and enjoyment onboard,” said Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. “Guests will immerse in the urban and natural wonders in Australia and the beauty and traditions of the South Pacific and Polynesia; these ultra-luxury itineraries will offer extraordinary experiences in some of the world’s most fascinating destinations.” Season highlights for the upcoming itineraries include: Australia & New Zealand – Seabourn Quest will embark on a series of 15-day voyages, covering 16 remarkable destinations across Australia and New Zealand, with overnight stays in Cairns and Melbourne.
Departure dates include December 20, 2025, January 4 and 19, and February 3, 2026. In Australia, the overnight in Cairns provides access to the Great Barrier Reef and features a unique “Hands-On Country Eco-Culture Tour” that offers insights into the cultural landscape through the perspectives of the Mandingalbay Yidinji people. In Melbourne, guests can explore the city’s innovative art scene, historic galleries, top-tier restaurants, and vibrant markets.
In New Zealand, the itinerary includes a visit to Kaikoura, where guests can experience a “Whales and Cray Trails” shore excursion, curated in collaboration with marine biologist Dr. Krista van der Linde. Additionally, Stewart Island’s Oban serves as a gateway to the scenic Rakiura National Park, ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers.
South Pacific & Polynesia – Following its journey through Australia and New Zealand, Seabourn Quest will traverse the island nations of Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, before reaching French Polynesia. Here, the ship will offer three departures of a new 10-day Bora Bora & Tahitian Nights Explorer voyage, featuring two full days in Bora Bora and an overnight stay in Papeete (Tahiti) at the beginning of each voyage. Departure dates are February 17, February 27, and March 9, 2026.
Highlights in this region include the tropical beauty of Bora Bora, the expansive coral atolls of Rangiroa, and the lush, untamed landscapes of Huahine, each showcasing the stunning natural beauty and cultural richness of French Polynesia. Panama Canal – On April 7, 2026, Seabourn Quest will depart from Long Beach on a 19-day voyage to Miami, highlighted by a transit through the historic Panama Canal. This journey will include stops at Puntarenas, Costa Rica, with excursions to the Monteverde Reserve, and Cartagena, Colombia, where guests can explore the vibrant waterfront and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town.
